The College of St. Scholastica

St. Scholastica Art is committed to developing artists and scholars who are compassionate global citizens, and whose imagination and creativity lead the way to an environmentally and socially responsible future. The core of our studies centers on art foundations and research, grounded in our Benedictine values and rooted in the process of inquiry and creative expression.

We offer five concentrations for you to choose from, they include: painting/drawing, photography, film/new media, design and studio art. Many of your professors will include internationally exhibited and published visual artists, who have practical experience in your concentration and know how to help you develop your own unique voice as an artist. The program also includes a class specifically designed to help you succeed in an art-based career to help prepare you for whatever field you choose.

St. Scholastica Alumni have gone on to pursue graduate studies as well as work in design, art direction, architecture, education, art therapy, the fine arts and other fields. Join them in finding a career that allows you to use your passion and creativity in a meaningful way.
