St. Scholastica to host its annual Give to CSS Day on March 23
The College of St. Scholastica will host its annual Give to CSS Day on Thursday, March 23. This event is the College’s single largest giving day of the year and allows supporters to donate to funds that directly impact current and future St. Scholastica students. A gift in any amount on Give to CSS Day counts toward the College’s goal of 360 unique donors, which, if met, unlocks an additional donation of $25,000.
“Giving days are a fantastic way to get in front of our community and celebrate the many opportunities available to students,” said Rebecca Noble, the annual giving officer at St. Scholastica. “This year, we have more than 25 fundraising initiatives to support, including conference travel funds, multicultural leadership, summer science research, new scholarships and much more. It is exciting to partner across schools and departments to learn more about what they are working on and see how donors can make a difference in these projects.”
Breanne Tepler, employer relations and internship coordinator of Career Services at the College, is championing the Experiential Learning Fund to financially support students with experiences such as unpaid internships and education abroad. “Every year on Give to CSS Day it’s like a big hug from the Saints community,” Tepler shared. “Donors give enthusiastically because they know they are supporting a truly special place.”
Chris Mueller, vice president of College Advancement, agreed: “We’re empowering our community to participate in a cause important to them,” Mueller said. “There are more than a dozen matching gifts available, which means there are already donors who are excited about what their gifts can do when others join in to double the impact.”
Donors who make a gift of $75 or more will receive a St. Scholastica packable blanket and a blanket will be donated to Student Activities in their honor while supplies last.
