Build your community from day 1 with other students just as new to the campus as you are! Somers Dorm double rooms accommodate two students, while a Somers Dorm single room accommodates a single person. Both room types come furnished with beds, bookcases, desks, large closets, and a sink. Somers Suites accommodate 4 people and include two bedrooms, a living room and a private bath.

You will also find special study areas, a game room, a TV room and a computer lab.

Meal Plans

All students living in Somers Hall are required to buy a meal plan from the residential plan options.

Somers Dorm

Recently renovated, Somers Dorm is the largest residential building on campus. The building features 1 and 2 person traditional rooms in a communal hallway with shared bathrooms. All floors in Somers are co-ed, with wings separated based on gender. There may be co-ed wings as well. ADA rooms are available.

Somers Dorm Features

  • The standard double room measures approximately 9’3″ x 17’4″
  • The standard single room measures approximately 7’10” x 17’4”
  • Furnishings: twin XL beds, dressers, desks and chairs
  • Built-in sinks and closets in each room
  • Meal plan required

Somers Suites

Each suite holds 4 students in a 2-bedroom unit with a small living room and bathroom. All floors in Somers suites are co-ed with each suite designated by a specific gender.

Suite Features

  • Bedrooms measure roughly 10′ x 10′ and 10′ x 14′
  • All suites include a living room and 3/4 bathroom (sinks, toilet and a shower)
  • Bedroom furnishings: twin beds, dressers, desks and chairs
  • Living room furnishings: couch, chairs and coffee table
  • Meal plan required
