St. Scholastica presents Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire
The College of St. Scholastica’s theatrical production of David Lindsay-Abaire’s Rabbit Hole opens Friday, Feb. 23. Sharon Dixon Obst, director of Theatre and lecturer in the English and Communication Department, directs the show.
David Lindsay-Abaire tells the tragic tale of Howie and Becca Corbett and the events that shattered their world. Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize, Rabbit Hole tells the story of a family trapped in grief and loss. Driven apart by tragedy, Becca and Howie’s relationship desperately needs healing and a path to find their way back to each other and a brighter future.
“Grief takes on many forms and doesn’t happen on a timeline,” explains Obst. “This script looks at the humanity needed to create the space to heal from loss.”
The shows will be held at the St. Scholastica Theatre located on the main campus with evening performances at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 23-24, Feb. 29 and March 1-2. Sunday matinees will be offered at 2 p.m. on Feb. 25 and March 3. The Feb. 29 performance will be ASL interpreted.
Tickets are $17 for general admission, $12 for students and seniors, $7 for St. Scholastica students with their ID and free for Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Spotlight Box Office at 218-723-7000.
