The College of St. Scholastica’s Athletics Department is thrilled to unveil the upcoming fall schedules for its men’s and women’s teams. With the department marking its fourth year in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), there’s an unmistakable air of enthusiasm this season. Cross Country

At the same event last year, the women’s team finished in second place while the men’s team landed third place.

Football

Six football players walk on the football field.Saints Football is eager to start the 2024 season on Saturday, Sept. 14, against Rockford University at the Marv Heikkinen Field of Walt Hunting Stadium in Duluth, MN. Less than a month later, the team will take on the Macalester College Scots on Saturday, Oct. 5, for Homecoming.

Golf

Female golf player swinging at a golf ball.The men’s and women’s golf teams are teeing off their fall seasons with a series of invitationals beginning Saturday, Aug. 31. The men will take a swing at victory at the Augsburg University Invitational at Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake, MN, while the women will compete at the College of St. Benedict Invitational at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell, MN.

Soccer

Players of the men's soccer team huddle together on the field.Men’s Soccer will lace up for their first game of the season in Madison, WI, where they will take on Edgewood College on Saturday, Aug. 31. Their first home game takes place nearly a week later when they compete against the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Friday, Sept. 6, at Kenny Harkins Field.

Women’s Soccer kicks off their own season with a home game against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Friday, Aug. 30. The Saints are eager to improve their score this season; in their last match against the Falcons, they lost 0-4.

Tennis

Male tennis player swings at tennis ball.The men’s and women’s tennis programs are set to serve up some serious competition in late September, as players rally their skills at the ITA Midwest Regional tournament in St. Peter, MN. The women compete at the ITAs from Friday, Sept. 22, to Monday, Sept. 25, and the men take to the courts a week later on Friday, Sept. 29, to Sunday, Oct. 1

Volleyball

Three volleyball players cheering near the volleyball net.Ready to return to the net, Saints Volleyball starts their season with a Central College and Grinnell College Invitational in Pella, IA, over the last weekend in August. Later in the season, the Saints will go toe to toe against the Bennies of the College of St. Benedict on Saturday, Oct. 5, for Homecoming.
