Discourse on interfaith perspectives
The College will host a lecture exploring how the pandemic has affected faith communities. “Navigating the pandemic: interfaith perspectives” will bring together representatives from Anishinaabe, Jewish, Muslim and Catholic faith communities for a Zoom webinar on Sunday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m
Panelists include Ricky DeFoe, Fond du Lac Anishinaabe Elder; Elyse Carter Vosen, service leader, Temple Israel, Duluth; Nik Rushdi Hassan, Islamic Center of the Twin Ports; and Patrice Critchley-Menor, Office of Social Apostolate, Roman Catholic Diocese of Duluth. During the webinar, panelists will reflect on the struggles and successes of the pandemic, as well as lessons learned and what the future will look like moving forward.
The event is free, open to the public and sponsored by the Braegelman Program in Catholic Studies and the Oreck-Alpern Interreligious Forum.
