American Matthay Association presents 2022 festival

The College will host the upcoming 2022 Festival of the American Matthay Association June 22-25, 2022. The Legacies of Excellence event will celebrate the memories of pianists Tobias Matthay and Frank Mannheimer with sessions for pianists and piano teachers, as well as solo piano recital performances.

Designed to offer participants direct and concentrated access to the teaching principles of Tobias Matthay, the sessions are devoted to the principles as they apply to teaching at all levels, including those of the performing artist.

For pianists and piano teachers, registration is available at Matthay Festival Registration Site with options for purchasing individual sessions, day or full passes.

For the general public, recital tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance on the College’s ticketing website. Solo piano recitals will be held June 22, 23, 24 at 7:30 p.m. and June 25 at 4 p.m. General admission is $15; free admission for Sisters of St. Scholastica Monastery and children under 18.
