“Oh the Places You’ll Go” Week
The Center for Experiential Learning is hosting a week-long celebration of high-impact practices (HIPs) on Feb. 27-March 3. This week, themed “Oh the Places You’ll Go,” features a series of events and activities to increase awareness and involvement in high-impact practices for St. Scholastica students.
St. Scholastica is dedicated to using high-impact practices to ensure that all students are deeply engaged with their academic programs and learning.
The week of
The week kicks off on Monday with International Study Abroad Day, featuring a fair with Education Abroad where students can learn about study, internship and service learning opportunities abroad. On Tuesday and Thursday, Career Services will offer internship and career exploration advising in the Student Union.

The Center celebrates service learning on Wednesday; students can serve the Twin Ports community as part of Community Day or advocate for the Minnesota State Grant by attending Day at the Capital, among other activities.
The week culminates on Friday with an afternoon “Coketail” Coca-Cola mocktails and ping pong party in the Center for Experiential Learning. This fun Tower 1130 tradition started in the 1960s when the space was known as the Vandybilt Lounge.
Throughout the week, Storm’s Den will serve an international menu, featuring foods from favorite St. Scholastica study abroad destinations. Students are also invited to join a bingo game, completing challenges related to HIPs for the chance to win prize packages.
The Center for Experiential Learning serves The College of St. Scholastica by providing resources and tools to contribute to the education of the whole person through the integration of high-impact practices (HIPs) into all majors leading to increased retention, engagement and career-preparation.
