Professional clinicians work closely and confidentially with students on a variety of issues including:

  • developmental transitions (i.e. beginning college, graduation, etc.)
  • relationship problems with peers or family
  • depression, anxiety and stress
  • grief and loss
  • sleep issues
  • difficulty in handling emotions
  • religious concerns
  • building self-esteem and confidence
  • substance use harm reduction strategies
  • substance use recovery support

Eligibility

St. Scholastica provides counseling services to students on the Duluth Main Campus and the Health Science Center at BlueStone. For students attending online or at other locations may access care through their primary care provider, insurance provider or employee assistance program (EAP).

There isn’t a cost for counseling services (except for psychiatric evaluations and management of medications — billed to insurance).
