Fast Facts: Engineering (Dual-Degree)

  • A dual-degree program enables students to obtain two undergraduate degrees in about six years. The first three years of study are completed at St. Scholastica while the program's last two to three years are taken at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.
  • A good choice for students seeking an engineering degree who also want to study the humanities and liberal arts
  • Students majoring in biochemistry, chemistry, biology or mathematics who have completed requirements for the Dual-Degree Engineering program are eligible to apply to the University of Minnesota's graduate program in Engineering
  • Due to the planning and coordination required, The dual-degree engineering program requires careful planning and extensive communication with the Dean of the School of Sciences
  • St. Scholastica was named on the list of Top 200 schools for Native Americans pursuing degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) by Winds of Change magazine

Proven success in high school mathematics as demonstrated by successful completion of courses through the pre-calculus level.

Major in biochemistry, chemistry, biology or mathematics.
