Facility Information & Burns Wellness Commons Parking

The 63,000-square-foot Burns Wellness Commons (formerly called the Wellness Center) is a field house complex featuring an indoor six-lane 200-meter running track, four multipurpose courts, a free weight room, an aerobic studio, a cardiovascular fitness mezzanine overlooking the track, a 40 foot climbing wall with a bouldering field, and new locker rooms. This facility houses 2 drop-down batting cages that allow the baseball and softball teams to practice during the winter. The indoor track is the home of the St. Scholastica men's and women's track and field teams. In addition to the new facilities within the Burns Commons, the complex houses the Reif Gymnasium and athletic department offices. The campus also contains an outdoor soccer field, outdoor softball field, 9-hole disc golf course and miles of scenic hiking, running and cross country ski trails.

The field house has a poured polyturf "Martin" seamless flooring system by Beynon Sports Surfaces.

The cardio fitness area is 2,160 square feet with 20 Cybex and Precor cardio machines including Ellipticals, Arc Trainers, steppers, rowing machines, tread mills and traditional and recumbent bikes. It also offers a full body work out on the most up to date Cybex weight and conditioning machines.

The 1,149 square foot aerobics room has a sprung wood dance floor and a Shure SLX wireless sound system installed by Endresen Sound System. The room has a large bank of windows that bathe the room in natural light and provide a beautiful view overlooking the Chester Creek and forest. The room houses a variety of aerobic, dance, Pilates, yoga and self defense classes.

The 1,000 square foot free weight room gives the serious weight trainer the opportunity for a full body work out.

The 40 foot tall climbing wall is one of the largest and most challenging in the region. It was designed and built by Entre Prises USA Inc. The College's Outdoor Pursuit program manages the climbing program and provides training and coaching for students with no previous climbing experience to those with advanced outdoor adventure experience.
