Whether you sing or play an instrument, pursuing a St. Scholastica Music major or minor will allow you to join a vibrant artistic community focused on holistic and engaging educational experiences. Through the program, we will feed your mind and soul while preparing you for a life of music appreciation and participation.

Pursuing a music degree combines core musicianship with a liberal arts education, giving you critical-thinking skills with a well-rounded cultural and artistic academic background. A degree in music allows you to develop adaptable and transferable skills that can lead you to success in education, performance or other entrepreneurial opportunities.

Our courses in history, theory and applied study will guide your musical and intellectual development. You’ll receive individualized mentorship from our professors, who are professional musicians themselves.
