H1N1 Flu Preparedness Update - Sept. 8, 2009
A handful of students on the Duluth campus are reporting flu-like symptoms as of Tuesday, Sept. 8.
In keeping with St. Scholastica's emergency response plan, the individuals involved are being advised to go home or, if that's not possible, to self-isolate in their rooms. Each individual is also advised to choose a "flu buddy" to help keep up with class notes, assignments and other timely matters.
The Student Health Service and St. Scholastica administration are closely monitoring the situation and will offer regular updates on this Web site. Messages will also be disseminated via e-mail or Saints Alert, depending upon the severity of the situation.
If you haven't already updated your Saints Alert account information, please do so now. Go to: emergency.css.edu and click on the Saints Alert icon.
Meanwhile, continue to practice good public health habits including washing hands frequently, avoiding people with a cough, and staying informed.
