The Goldie and Walter Eldot Endowed Memorial Scholarship and Lavine Gerontology Scholarship are available to current students of the gerontology program.
To complete their minor or certificate programs, students must complete a required fieldwork project. Students have the ability to select where to complete their projects, with popular sites being agencies that provide services to older adults — such as the Alzheimer's Association — and long-term care settings — like the Benedictine Health Center on The College of St. Scholastica campus.
This requirement can also be fulfilled by supervised primary research that uses older adults as research participants and includes a literature review.
