The people have spoken and they want Justin Bieber out of the United States and deported back to Canada. There is an official "We the People" petition that currently has 259,371 total signatures as of February 16th, 2014, all in the name of trying to deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card. Now, I find this as hysterical as the next person, but what isn't so funny is that the White House Administration is now forced to review this petition because it has over 100,000 signatures, which is the signature threshold.

This petition was created on January 23rd, which was the same day that the media covered Bieber's alleged DUI and drag racing charges. Below is the exact wording of the official petition:

We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.

As you can see, the laundry list of adjectives and incorrect grammar really helps make this petition seem legitimate. While there are websites out there dedicated to making petitions that address actual important issues, such as, here we have over 250,000 people who have decided that one pop star is a great enough danger to our society that signing a petition to throw him out of the country is a priority. ARE YOU KIDDING ME, AMERICA?

One of the reasons this petition was created is because the authors felt that he is wrongly representing our country. The mass amount of signatures on this petition shows the world that we care more about deporting a pop star than talking about real issues like human rights and political injustice - that alone wrongly represents our country.

While the Obama Administration is legally obliged to look into this petition, it's pretty disappointing that this ended up being one of the issues that attracted government attention. If anything, Bieber should be incredibly embarrassed on a global scale just for promoting his own song lyrics such as, "Smile on your face even though your heart is frowning" and "ooh, you know females and how they like to run they mouths." It's a travesty, really.
