This message was shared with the Saints community by the Office of the President on Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of Veterans Day.
This Veterans Day, I ask you to join me in offering our profound thanks to the men and women who have served our country in the uniformed services. We are fortunate to have strong veteran representation within our College Community. There are nearly 140 veterans and active duty service members among our student body, and many more among our faculty, staff and alumni.
Veterans have sacrificed so much to serve our country. On this day and every day, let us pause to recognize their contributions to our freedom and way of life.
I invite you to stop by the Veterans Resource Center in Tower Hall 2143 anytime during the day today to express your gratitude for their service to our country. Refreshments will be available at midday.
I also invite you to attend the Concert Band and String Ensemble's "Americana!" Veterans Day concert, a patriotic musical salute, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, in Mitchell Auditorium.
