Longtime music department faculty member LeAnn House will present her final concert before retirement at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 in the Mitchell Auditorium at St. Scholastica.
House will perform a wide variety of some of her favorite music using four different keyboard instruments: Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #5 and a Telemann Concerto using the harpsichord, Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata on an 18th-century replica piano, songs by Wolf and Hahn using a 19th-century piano, and works by Debussy and Bartok on a modern Steinway.
She will perform with family members and colleagues, including her husband, Shelley Gruskin, flute and recorder; their daughter, Rebecca Gruskin, horn; William Bastian, tenor; and Penny Schwarze, violin.
