Biochemistry Major

Program Facts

Research or Internships

Opportunities for student research and teaching abound in the Biochemistry major. These include:

  • Assisting faculty with personal research projects
  • Participating in paid summer research programs
  • Working as a paid teaching assistant or general assistan

Careers

Graduates of the biochemistry and chemistry programs have gone on to work as research, forensic or environmental scientists, hazardous materials manager; and scientific writers. Others have pursued graduate degrees in dental, medical and pharmacy schools.
