Information for Veterans

Dedicated to meeting the educational needs of veterans

Military service has been an important part of life at St. Scholastica since World War II, when many nurses we educated served overseas. Since then, we've held a special regard for service members and veterans.

A military friendly school

We've been honored as a military-friendly school by GI Jobs  magazine, we're a partner in the Yellow Ribbon program, and we're a member of the Service members Opportunity Colleges Consortium. Advanced Military Education magazine has ranked St. Scholastica number one for the Minnesota/Wisconsin region, and number 34 out of tens of thousands of schools nationwide.

In addition to undergraduate and graduate programs at our five campuses around Minnesota (Duluth, Brainerd, Rochester, St. Cloud and the Twin Cities) St. Scholastica also offers degree programs online, providing flexibility to service members who are deployed or relocating to a new base or post.  The College also offers CSS Complete, which provides students with previous college credit, military service or work experience a flexible and affordable pathway to finishing a college degree.

Simplifying the process

Using your military benefits to attend college can be a daunting and complicated process. At St. Scholastica, we work hard to make it easier for you.

A Message from Larry Goodwin, PresidentDr. Goodwin, President of The College of St. Scholastica

Military veterans are an under-represented group in American higher education. I am glad that The College of St. Scholastica is doing its best to right that wrong, through programs and services including the Yellow Ribbon campaign and the Veterans Resource Center.

As a veteran myself, I know that making the transition from soldier to student can be difficult. At the same time, I know that vets do well in college. Certainly, our campus has benefitted greatly from the maturity, discipline and life wisdom that veterans bring to our learning community.

Best of luck to you in your own educational plans.
