Transfer Student Advocate

Transferring to a new college is an exciting experience but can fill one with a little apprehension. To make the transition comfortable and seamless a Transfer Student Advocate is available to help. The advocate can provide guidance and assistance for a number of issues that may confront a transfer student, like the following:

  • Adjust to new academic expectations
  • Find offices, departments, faculty and/or staff
  • Address socialization needs to become integrated into campus life
  • Stay informed of specific transfer student issues, services and opportunities
  • Find resources needed to attain academic goals
  • Ease the transition process to a new environment
  • Find ways to eliminate stressors common to students transferring to a new college
  • Discover answers to common transfer student questions and concerns
  • Connect with faculty
