1. Preparation

Eligibility

  • B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited college or university
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8

Note: Meeting minimum entrance requirements does not guarantee admission.

Requirements

  • Strong writing and quantitative thinking skills.
  • Completed coursework in macroeconomics, microeconomics, and accounting at the undergraduate level with a grade of B or better within seven years. Students without this coursework completed will be expected to successfully complete online self-study course.

2. Application

Transcripts

Transcripts required: BA/BS transcript showing degree conferred, any post-baccalaureate transcript, and any transcript with pre-requisite coursework.

Request official transcripts for receipt on or before the application deadline.

Must be in the original sealed envelope from the school, or from a certified electronic official transcript provider such as Docufide, Scrip Safe or National Student Clearinghouse.

Please order early — transcripts can take up to 4-6 weeks to arrive.

Online Application

  1. Complete the Online Application. (You will need to use an updated browser, preferably Firefox, Chrome, or Safari.)
  2. Prepare your essay. (Word or PDF. Please use 12-point font with 1-inch margins.)

    As part of your online application, you will be asked to upload a 500-word essay that addresses the questions below. It should represent your highest level of academic writing and demonstrate your ability to participate in a rigorous, fast-paced, graduate program. Revisions will be requested if these requirements are not met.

    If you are applying for the MBA/MAM Dual Degree program, prepare a 650-word essay that answers these questions in the context of both degrees.
    • What life experiences lead you to pursue an MBA or Master's in Management
    • What leadership skills have you demonstrated in your field?
    • In your own words, describe the attributes and skills you feel are important in leading a business or organization and why? 
    • What are your career goals and how will an MBA or Master's in Management support those goals?
    • Why did you choose The College of St. Scholastica for your studies?
  3. Provide contact information. In your online application, you will be asked to enter contact information for two references (preferably from two different organizations) who have observed and evaluated your leadership abilities. These individuals will receive an email request to complete an online recommendation form.
  4. In the online application, upload a current resume listing all education and work experience.
  5. Upon receipt of your completed application and transcripts, your application will be sent to the program department for review and the admission decision.

International Admissions Policy

If you have international transcripts or non-citizen status, you will need to complete the online program application and send additional documentation. Please see the International Admissions Policy for complete details.

3. Post-Completion

Decision Response Form

After you are notified a decision has been made regarding your application, log into your application portal to accept or decline using the Decision Response form.

Transfer Credits

You may be eligible to receive transfer credits for coursework you’ve completed. See our Graduate Transfer Credit Policy for more information and complete a  Credit Transfer Application Form. This form can be completed and provided to your program advisor and/or program department contact.
