National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Examination
Upon completion of all academic and fieldwork requirements of the Occupational Therapy Program, students are awarded a Master of Science of Science (M.S.) degree. Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the national certification examination for licensure as occupational therapists. Most states require licensure to practice.
The exam is administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be a registered (licensed) occupational therapist (OTR or OTR/L). The graduates of the Occupational Therapy Department at The College of St. Scholastica have a high pass rate as shown below.
