Student Health Fee:
The Student Health Fee is a distinct item and is not a part of the CSS student health insurance premium.
The Student Health Fee allows students to utilize the Student Health Service (SHS) office on campus. SHS provides professional Registered Nurse assessments for illness and injury, and treatment of minor illnesses. SHS also provides urgent care services, lab services, medical supply usage, over-the-counter medications, medical records management, immunization management and administration, health screenings, physical therapy consultations, and health education and information.
How is the Student Health Fee charged?
Student health fees are placed on student accounts automatically for full-time undergraduate students and certain graduate students (Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, Post Baccalaureate Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy students). The Student Health Fee is also optionally charged to all other students who choose to receive health care in the Student Health Service office.
**Students do not have to be enrolled in the CSS health insurance program to utilize services in SHS**
The Student Health Fee is $95 each semester for Fall 2013 and Spring 2014.
Personal/Student Health Insurance charges:
The items that are not covered by the student health fee (specifically visits with the Nurse Practitioner, lab tests, and immunizations) are charged to the student's personal/student health insurance. Any charges that are not covered by the student's personal/student health insurance will be placed on the student's account.
