Yes, we will! We are happy to offer you individualized attention. Whether you have food allergies, need to modify your diet or just want to know more about what you are consuming, please contact Jean Anderson, R.D., the Food Service Director via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 218-723-6652. The food service department has also implemented a labeling procedure in The Greenview. Click here for more information.
If you have dietary restrictions, we'd like to meet with you one-on-one to gather information including all ingredients we need to note. We will then develop a plan that meets your needs. This may include menu labeling, reading ingredients, creating a list of food items and/or portioning individual meals. It may also include the purchase of special food items.
Sometimes, under special circumstances, exceptions are allowed to the meal plan policies. Requests for exceptions are processed through the College's Disability Resource Center.
Food Allergy/Intolerance Disclaimer
The College of St. Scholastica Food Service Department makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies and intolerances. Every effort is made to instruct our food production staff on the severity of food allergies and intolerances. In addition, we label items with possible allergen-containing ingredients (nuts, gluten, dairy); however, there is always a risk of contamination. There is also a possibility that manufacturers of the commercial foods we use could change the formulation or substitute at any time, without notice. Customers concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk. The Food Service Department also operates its own bakery. Our bakery is not a nut-free, gluten-free or dairy-free bakery. We cannot guarantee the absence of cross contamination with our baked goods. The College of St. Scholastica Food Service department will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items one may come in contact with while eating at any College food service establishments. Students with food allergies are encouraged to register with the Disability Resource Center http://www.css.edu/Administration/Disability-Resource-Center.html , contact the Director Melissa Watschke 218-723-6747, email@example.com or contact the Food Service Department at firstname.lastname@example.org or the Food Service Director Jean Anderson, R.D. 218-723-6652 for additional information and/or support.
