American Nurses Foundation - Nursing Research Grants
Each year, ANF provides funds for beginning and advanced nurse researchers to conduct studies that contribute toward the advancement of our nursing science and the enhancement of patient care. Awards are given in all areas of nursing, including patient outcomes, health care policy development, critical care, gerontology, women's health, community and family intervention, as well as a variety of other topics.

Small grants (up to $5,000) to MNA members with minimum of baccalaureate in nursing; a Katharine Densford Dreves grant award up to $10,000 for MNA members with minimum of Master's degree in nursing (or enrolled in a Master's program) for research in nursing topics; and Clinical Practice Projects for MNA or MSNA members.

National Science Foundation - Economics Research
NSF awards general grants in economics research in several areas: international economies, labor, history, finance, mathematics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, etc. Proposals are welcome from individuals or multi-investigator research groups for the use in conferences, workshops, symposia, experimental research, data collection, equipment, and research experience for undergraduates. Investigators may also apply for interdisciplinary projects that strengthen links between economics and other areas (social science, mathematics, etc.).

National Science Foundation - Social Psychology Research
Grants will support research on human social behavior, including human development and cultural behaviors, practices, and differences. Various topics are supported including: attitude formation and change, social cognition, personality process, interpersonal and group relations, social comparison and influence, and neurophysiological bases of social behavior.

Sigma Theta Tau - Nursing Research Grants
Ten to fifteen small grants of up to $5,000 each are given annually to nurses with Master's degrees. Perference given toward Sigma Theta Tau members.

Whiteside Institute for Clinical Research Grant
The Whiteside Institute for Clinical Research is accepting grant applications for research addressing issues related to the prevention or treatment of cancer, lung disease, or heart disease. This year up to $30,000 is available for qualified proposals to support costs deemed essential to the research project. Applications submitted in response to this announcement may be submitted for any amount but may not exceed $30,000 in direct costs. Indirect costs are not authorized under this announcement.
