Scholarships

Successful St. Scholastica sophomore, junior or senior students may be eligible for an NSF S-STEM scholarship. For more information, visit css.edu/stem.

Research Opportunities

The School of Sciences offers a strong culture of undergraduate research. In our state-of-the-art teaching laboratories and research facilities, faculty with work with students, often one-on-one, to conduct research and experiments that extend student learning beyond the classroom.

Students are also encouraged to apply for paid NSF Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) programs within research schools throughout the country. These programs provide valuable real-world experience that enhances learning and helps them to decide if post-graduate studies are right for them. Typically 5-10 St. Scholastica students participate in these programs each summer.

Teaching Licensure

Students can couple their B.A. in Chemistry with some additional Chemistry and Physical Science courses and a Secondary Education major to obtain a teaching licensure for Chemistry and Physical Science.
