The LaTour/Eichenwald Forum on HIIM Leadership and Innovation honors the pioneering spirit of two of Health Information Managements most highly regarded professionals. Kathy LaTour and Shirley Eichenwald Maki retired in 2012 from The College of St. Scholastica's HIIM Department after a combined seven-plus decades of national leadership in education and in the profession.
Each year the LaTour/Eichenwald Forum on HIIM offers workshops and opportunities for networking with top professionals. The event's centerpiece is a keynote speaker who is an innovator in the field of HIIM research, policy, education or industry.
The College is pleased to announce that the 2014 LaTour/Eichenwald keynote speaker will be Gail L. Graham. She is currently the Deputy Undersecretary (ADUSH) for Health Informatics and Analytics, within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Office of Health Information. She is also a past board member of AHIMA, and a current board member of the National Library of Medicine.
