What is your field of expertise, and what makes you interested in this field?
My business experience spans everything from operations to business development, but the practice (and philosophy) of marketing is my true interest. Within marketing, my specialties include capturing and deploying the voice-of-the-customer, product development, and value-creation strategies. Nothing in marketing is more exhilarating than to transform an idea into a product or service that earns a "Wow!" response from a customer.
What distinguishes St. Scholastica/your program from other colleges and universities?
Hands-on and real-world: these guiding principles direct my efforts to create a rich and fun educational experience. Great education changes the way one experiences the world. If students leave my class the same as they entered, then I have failed!
What do you like best about St. Scholastica?
The Benedictine values are timeless and powerful. I love the permanence of these human values. Community, hospitality, stewardship, respect, love of learning: what a beautiful way to live a life.
What's your advice for prospective students?
These are the "good old days" you will look back on with fondness in the future. Throw yourself into your studies, volunteer for everything, and make your presence felt. Education is a life-long and life-changing experience. Enjoy!
