My work involves academic advising and evaluating our students' experiences while they are in our programs.

Can you briefly introduce the academic program (or department) you are in to our prospective students?

If you are a St. Paul site student, and once you are accepted into the School of Business and Technology, I will work with you to map out your academic plan and we will partner with each other to make your educational experience here the most meaningful it can be.

What distinguishes St. Scholastica/your program from other colleges and universities?

St. Scholastica places much value on transformational learning.....our goal is to provide you with the tools and resources you can use to apply directly back into your field of work. The attention given to sharpening your world view and refining your critical thinking abilities will serve to give your leadership a wider scope and increased effectiveness.

Without a doubt, what I like best about my job is working directly with the students. I enjoy watching them overcome their challenges and strive for excellence. It is very inspirational!

What's your most interesting teaching or research experience at St. Scholastica?

I am currently working with research relating to student retention and persistence within our business programs. It is interesting to learn what kinds of tactics we can use as an institution that will increase students' ability to succeed.

What's your advice for prospective students?

My advice for prospective students is truly embrace your education for all the opportunities it provides. The more energy you invest in your education, the more knowledge you will retain that can serve you for the rest of your life!
