Ms. Patricia Young is an Instructor of English. She received a B.A. in English (with minors in Women’s Studies and Communication) and an M.A. in English, Literary Studies (with Theatre as a related field) from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She has taught at the University of Minnesota Duluth and Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. She has worked at the College of St. Scholastica since 2001.
Patty teaches First Year Composition, Introduction to Literature, Introduction to Drama, Introduction to Fiction, and Introduction to Women’s Literature. She was one of four faculty teaching the Integrated Communication/English (ICE) course during the 2003-04 and 2004-05 school years. She also worked as an assistant to the Director of Engaged in Learning (a first-year experience program) from 2003-04, and as a member of the First Year Program Committee from 2004-05. She has taught in the Dignitas Program since it began in 2005. She has also taught in the First Year Development Program’s Summer Bridge sessions since 2005.
