Physical therapists help people of all ages, from infants to the elderly, recover from disease and injury. By helping patients increase their mobility and return to their everyday activities, physical therapists contribute directly to their patients' quality of life.
Programs for those new to the field and established practitioners
Our Entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy is a post-baccalaureate program that focuses on preparing physical therapists who are professional, experienced and ready for clinical practice.
Our Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy program is designed to provide working clinicians with a flexible, rigorous path to a doctorate degree.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Physical Therapy program at The College of St. Scholastica is the education of front-line physical therapy providers who are prepared to meet the diverse health care needs of society, including rural communities and underserved populations, through practice, education, and administration. Program graduates are committed to inter-professional collaboration and are recognized as leaders in the provision of evidence based practice that is compassionate, ethical, and legal. Program graduates adapt to and implement change that benefits their community and the profession.
