Renowened Scottish band performs contemporary and traditional Celtic style at Mitchell Auditorium

DULUTH, MN - Battlefield Band will perform a musical evening straight from Scotland complete with bagpipes and a fiddle as part of the next performance in St. Scholastica's Mitchell Performing Arts season. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, in the Mitchell Auditorium on campus and is open to the public; tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors/students, and $10 for children 12 and younger. 

Known as a wellspring of talent for over four decades, Battlefield Band continues to lead the way for Scotland with its inspired fusion of ancient and modern traditional music and song. The band's new album "Line-up"  "finds them fresh and invigorated, and illustrates that they are among the most relevant contemporary composers and interpreters of Celtic music today."
