Music from The College of St. Scholastica's 100 years will be showcased at the next performance in the 2011-2012 Cambiata Music Series. "Music of St. Scholastica's Century" is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, in the Mitchell Auditorium. The public is invited; tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students.
Percussionist Jeremy Craycraft, pianist Kate Lanzer and violinist Nicole Craycraft will present a performance of remarkable - but often overlooked - music that was written since the College was founded in 1912. The program will feature works by celebrated composers such as Henry Cowell, Lou Harrison and Alan Hovhaness. In addition, there will be discussion about events and photos at the College that occurred the same time the music was composed.
Unless otherwise noted, tickets for all concerts are $15 for adults and $5 for students age 18 and younger (or with current college ID). Tickets can be purchased online through the Spotlight Box Office at spotlight.css.edu or call (218) 723-7000. Spotlight@css.edu is St. Scholastica's one-stop shop for arts and lectures information and tickets.
